JOB PURPOSE:
As a key member of the Business Development department, the Customer Relationship Technologist actively contributes to the attainment of our collective success, working constructively to deliver business goals and objectives on a daily basis. All activities relate to the securing, maintaining, and developing strong, profitable commercial relationships with new and established strategic collaborative partners across the automotive sector.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Technical support, preparation, and accurate submission of customer RFQ’s in a timely manner
  • Cross-functional collaboration with internal resources and departments
  • Support analysis and reporting of sales objectives and their attainment
  • Positive positioning and communication of MPC and our company brand
  • Adopt and utilize our ERP system (PLEX) to access, interpret, leverage, and align company data in support of better business practices and customer needs
  • Develop assets and tools to support sales activity and customer development
  • Support sales analysis and forecasting
  • Analyze and implement material price changes to respective customer amounts as directed
  • Support new business opportunities with market research
  • Collaborate and support the Program Manager to maintain visibility of key milestones for new projects
  • Promote MPC’s core values and actively contribute to a positive and rewarding team environment
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 1-3 years B2B sales or commercial business exposure in a technical or engineering environment
  • Post-Secondary education related to the manufacturing of engineered parts and processes (ie. Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automotive Engineering, etc.)
  • Able to work both independently and as part of a cross-functional team
  • Must have a continuous improvement mindset with the ability to identify opportunities and recommend solutions
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook)
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and requests in a timely manner, with a high level of accuracy
  • Must possess a safety-first mindset
