To create automation equipment for injection moulding purposes and develop new systems for future advancements in manufacturing.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design new automation equipment, including mechanical and electrical design
- Design custom equipment and end of arm tools for robots
- Assemble robotic EOATs and automated units
- Lead and support automation projects and initiatives
- Liaise with various departments to ensure systems meet the right requirements
- Promote MPC’s core values and actively contribute to a positive and rewarding team environment

- Minimum 5 years of experience in automation
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in Engineering
- Proficient in SolidWorks
- Specialized knowledge in modelling
- Drafting experience with the ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
- Hands-on experience with mechanical assembly and repair
- Hands-on experience with electrical wiring and troubleshooting
- Highly technical mindset, comfortable with mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic products
- Familiar with automation products including PLCs, sensors, and vision systems
- Familiar with the implementation of robotic solutions and safety
- A detail-oriented analytical thinker
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to multitask and prioritize
- Excellent problem-solving skills and work planning ability
- Robotic skills: The ability to understand the basic concepts of using industrial robots
