Molded Precision Components (MPC) is proud to announce that we have received the 2022 General Motors Overdrive Award. This recognition is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our team, as well as the support and collaboration of our innovative material supplier, Pyrophobic Systems Ltd.
This project represents a major breakthrough in the mass production of complex 3D components using intumescent polymers. It is the first process of its kind, and MPC is proud to be at the forefront of this innovative technology. Our intumescent injection molding processes provide the highest level of fire protection for General Motors and its customers, while also reducing weight, complexity and cost compared to traditional materials.
The shift towards electric vehicles (EVs) is becoming increasingly crucial as the world moves towards a more sustainable future. As a result, the development of advanced materials and processes to support this transition is of great importance.
